BIPOLAR PACING:

 

 

A cardiac pacing system in which the cathode (positive pole of the pacemaker circuit) is at the tip of the pacemaker wire and the anode (negative pole of the pacemaker circuit) is near the tip of the wire, just proximal to the cathode.
